Jennifer Lawrence and Her Hair Went Out Last Night

Last night, Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence honored director David O. Russell during the 2013 AFI Fest presented by Audi. Lawrence, Jane Fonda and Melissa Leo gathered at the Egyptian Theater in Hollywood for the reception, where Russell screening the first six minutes of American Hustle, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Lawrence showed off her Kate Gosselin-ish hair do, which has been the subject of fodder this past week.
During a Yahoo! Fireside Chat on Thursday, Lawrence explained why she cut all of her hair off, with the exception of one massive, side-swept bang.
"It grew to that awkward, gross length, and I kept putting it back in a bun," she said.  "And I was like, 'I don't want to do this!' So I just cut it off. ... It couldn't get any uglier!"
On Wednesday, Lawrence said in a Google+ hangout that her hair had been "fried from being dyed too much."
Alas, that long hair is expected to star in The Hunger Games' third installment, Mockingjay, which is already in production.
"This isn't how Katniss is going to look in the next movies," Lawrence told fans.  "I'm actually wearing a wig (in the films)."
