Uruguay's national soccer team player Luis Suarez attends a news conference
Online betting firm 888poker has cancelled its sponsorship deal with Uruguay's Luis Suarez, following his four-month Fifa ban for biting an opponent.
In a statement, the Gibraltar-based company said: "888poker signed Luis Suarez following a fantastic season for which his achievements were widely recognised.
"Regrettably, following his actions during Uruguay’s World Cup match against Italy on Tuesday, 888poker has decided to terminate its relationship with Luis Suarez with immediate effect."
On Thursday, football's world governing body suspended Suarez from all football-related activity for four months.

He was also banned from playing in Uruguay's next nine competitive games for biting Italian defender Giorgio Chiellini.
It was the third time in top flight football that Suarez had bitten an opponent.
Commentators have previously speculated on which sponsors would cancel their dealings with the player.
Sports giant Adidas said it would hold talks with Suarez in July over its £1m sponsorship deal, amid rumours it could terminate their agreement.
Adidas warned the 27-year-old last year over his conduct, following his biting of Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic,
Meanwhile, the grandmother of Suarez said he has been victimised by Fifa and treated barbarically.
She said: "They chucked him out of there like a dog."
