Asake's M$NEY Album Tops Global Charts in Historic Sweep

 


The 13-track album, which features DJ Snake, Tiakola, and Kabza De Small, peaked at No. 1 on Apple Music UK, making Asake the only African artist to have five albums at that time. It also peaked at No. 4 on the US Top Albums, leading in 20 countries. He shouted out Wizkid, calling him "BIG WIZ na my G," and teased the ostentatious release with a marble bust sculpture of himself.

 Fans applaud the big-boy evolution from his street roots, but some criticise Amen's repetitive rhythms and lyrics that are perceived as praising President Tinubu amid economic hardships.
