On Wednesday, the annual gathering of sports and entertainment’s finest kicked off its festivities at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in sunny California.
The show, now in its 21st year, will be hosted by the always dapper Jon Hamm. Justin Timberlake and Samuel L. Jackson have taken on hosting duties in previous years.
Celebrity sightings on Wednesday's red carpet so far have included Selena Gomez, Gabrielle Union (who attended the event with longtime love Dwyane Wade) and model Marisa Miller. Michael Phelps, new mom Malin Akerman and Olympic champs Gabby Douglas and McKayla Maroney also made appearances.
The 2013 ESPY Awards will be handed out live at 9PM ET on ESPN.
